Personal pronouns are words like I, he, they and you.

There are not many and they are super quick to learn.

You need to know personal pronouns before you can say many useful statements in German. So let’s start learning!

Watch the video below to learn the personal pronouns. Below the video, you’ll find a list of the vocabulary used so you can write it down and practise.

You can do this!

Vocabulary taught in this lesson:

  • ich – I
  • wir – we
  • du – you (singular, informal)
  • ihr – you (plural, informal)
  • Sie – you (formal – both singular and plural)
  • er – he
  • sie – she
  • es – it
  • sie – they

Time to practise until you can say these words without thinking 🙂

The only thing that is a little tricky is that there are three different words for you whereas in English we just have the one. However, it’s not too hard to work out when to use each one.

Watch this video a few times if you need to until you’ve memorized all of them.
