Want to learn German or want to learn something quickly you can definitely use in Germany? Learn how to say “the”. This lesson is about German articles.

Saying “the” in German is not as straightforward as in English. This is because there are three different options: der (masculine), die (feminine) and das (neutral).

While there are some rules about when these apply, you really need to learn them as you learn nouns.

But for now, it’s important to understand what they are and how they are used.
